The Caribbean Night will focus on highlighting various forms of Cultural Expressions in dance, song and drama from Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean. The idea is to have a festive night of pure non-stop and varied entertainment which centers on the celebration of our ancestral joys and the loud proclamation of our Heritage as well as the wider Caribbean support for that spirit. The various cultural forms to be included in the show are zouk, calypso, reggae, jazz and afro calypso to name a few. |

What other key aspects are integral to the Festival?
The Steel Band movement and the Calypsonians have played an important part in all the Heritage shows. Each steelband plays a test piece - the Heritage theme - 'Come leh we go', as well as a folk song. The calypsonians usually sing in competition during the Festival. |
